We all know Forrest Gump's famous line, “My mama always said, life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.”
In a way, the holidays are kind of like a box of chocolates. It’s different for everyone and you never know what you’re gonna get. Holidays for some are joyful, sweet and happy. For others the season is a bitter time, due to family dynamics, finances, loss or loneliness. Whatever our personal situation may be, we can find encouragement in scripture. The Bible speaks a lot about burdens. So if Christmas seems burdensome for you, it could be that God is giving you the chance to experience His love in a deeper way, and to use your life to bring HOPE to someone else during this holiday season.

If you are experiencing sadness, loss, or pain this holiday season, remember, Jesus came to be Emmanuel - God with us. He cares for you and cares about what you are going through. He is with you. So cast your burdens on Him; you are not alone in this season. There is always HOPE.

So whether the holidays are a joy or a challenge for you, our hope is first of all that you would experience God's great love for you, which was demonstrated so perfectly in sending His Son to us. Secondly, we would encourage you to reach out and show HOPE to someone in your life this Christmas season. And remember, if you need prayer this month, please send us a message on the Contact Us page. We would love to help shoulder your burden and lift you up in prayer.
