Why Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy and Learning?

Horses are highly intuitive and responsive to human emotion. They respond to what we feel, helping participants build awareness, regulate emotions, and develop trust - without judgment.

In a world where many struggle to express or process their experiences, horses create a safe, nonverbal space for healing.


EFL and EFT have been shown to help:

  • Reduce anxiety and depression

  • Improve emotional regulation and confidence

  • Build trust, communication, and resilience

  • Support trauma recovery in a gentle, experiential way

WyoGives, an initiative of the Wyoming Nonprofit Network, is a powerful statewide 24-hour online fundraising event designed to raise funds and awareness for Wyoming's nonprofits. Reclaiming Hope is proud to be a Wyoming based non-profit that benefits from this amazing event, as it has become our largest annual fundraiser. This year WyoGives was on July 15th, 2026.

Why is the WyoGives campaign so effective for Reclaiming Hope? 

  • Matching Donations: Sponsors, including individuals and businesses, provide matching funds pool, doubling individual donations!

  • Incentive Pool: Donations to Reclaiming Hope through WyoGives.org on July 15th are boosted by the Hughes Charitable Foundation's $1,000,000 incentive pool, potentially earning Reclaiming Hope an extra $10,000.
