What is the Horse Collection?
Our model horses are designed after each horse in the Sanctuary Horses herd. Each horse is hand painted by a local Pinedale artist. By purchasing a model horse, you are helping to provide the food, care, and medical attention each horse needs to thrive.

OUR FEATURED HORSES

CORA
This sweet girl used to be a pack mule for an outfitting guide. She somehow got a cut on her leg and was turned loose. Thankfully, she was found by a kind soul who kept her for the winter until she was given to Sanctuary Horses. Now she is able to live out the life of retirement she so deserves.

FEARLESS
We learned of Fearless's herd in the Calico Mountains of Nevada through a local in Sublette County who advocates for the rescue and adoption of wild mustangs across the nation. Lisanne Fear, also known as Fearlis, had a strong personal connection with two of her mustangs that came from this herd. Lisanne thought of our program when she found out about the adoption of this one year-old bay roan gelding, who is now known as Fearless. We jumped on the opportunity to adopt our very first mustang, and could not be happier. Fearless will be two years old this summer and he is recently halter broke. He loves treats, is very curious, and wants to be your best friend. We look forward to his future with Sanctuary Horses.

RIM
This guy is one of the most loving and cuddly horses in our group. Rim can no longer be ridden due to a neurological condition so he follows along while his friends get ridden and spends his days grazing in the fields. Rim loves his treats and has never been afraid to push others out of the way to make sure he doesn’t get left out. We love Rim and we are so glad to have him on our team.

These two buddies don't ever take your word for it if you say you are out of treats! They will inspect your pockets until they are satisfied there is nothing there.

Ghost and Patsy show the full range of horses that live here at the Sanctuary Ranch: Patsy being the smallest at only 11.2 hands, and Ghost who stands at a mighty 17 hands!
